Information about Singapore Visa Extension

Who can apply for a stay extension?

You can apply for a stay extension in Singapore if you meet all of the following requirements:

  • You have not previously obtained or applied for a stay extension on the current trip.
  • You wish to extend your stay in Singapore by up to 30 days from the date of your arrival.
  • Your Visit Pass (a stamp on your disembarkation card) is valid for at least 3 working days from the date of submission (working days are from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). It is best if you send the document on the 22nd or 23rd day of your stay in Singapore.
  • You will not be returning within 5 days of your current trip to Singapore's departure date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISA EXTENSION -

  • A Singapore visa has no set period of validity. It is dependent on each application form and its advantages and disadvantages. However, all visitors to Singapore are advised to apply for an online visa to Singapore at least 30 days before the planned arrival date in Singapore to ensure enough days to stay in Singapore according to the visa validity.
  • You may only extend your stay in Singapore for a maximum of 89 days from the date of entry.
  • You must ensure that you have at least one day of visa validity in Singapore on the day you apply for the visa extension.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SINGAPORE VISA EXTENSION -

  • You must have an original passport issued by the government of the country to which you are a citizen.
  • In addition, the passport should be valid for at least six months.
  • You should also have a photocopy of the passport page containing your personal information.
  • On the Disembarkation / Embarkation, you must have a valid visit pass issued at the time of entry into Singapore.
  • You will also be required to provide documentation proving your relationship with Singapore citizens, if you have mentioned it to the sponsors for Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • To submit the visa extension application fees online, you must have a valid internet banking account in Singapore.
  • You must have the form V75 (If you need a visa extension in Singapore for any medical reason, a form V75 is what you need to fill out. Making an application for a stay extension
